Are there cheats?

When playing a sandbox game, sometimes I just like to mess around and go wild. Cheats help with this, so I was wondering if there are cheats for this game, and if so, does anyone know what they are?

Yes, I know that someone could develop a mod in the Workshop to do this, but that assumes someone knows how to do it (I certainly don't) and keeps it updated so it doesn't break the game whenever the developer updates the game itself.

Go to store, buy some expensive goods, search for the amount of these goods. Then shange it and sell using "right" (not "all").
It was in sandbox version, I doubt this aspect is different in full game.
It's the usual thing: edit not obvious things like hp or money, but things that can affect them. Devs usually don't go that far :)
It's not Space Rangers HD - boy it was a real pain to CE something in it.

I very doubt it. For previous game, there was nothing from WeMod, Plitch and Fearless.
The thing you want is cheat menu mod.

Maybe it'll even work with this game :)
But if not, then I guess wait for these guys to update it for CL.
Because it'll be much better than editing values with CE. Less hassle, more options, and less crashes :)

Maybe you have to turn off Steam Cloud. Sometimes Steam Cloud automatically reverts edits like that back to whatever the save data is on the cloud.

That isn't your save, it's just your profile information, doesn't really hold anything important, your actual save is something you can't edit. They sure did go a long way to stop people from cheating, IN A SINGLE PLAYER GAME

Which is ridiculous. I can understand preventative measures against cheating in a multiplayer game, but in a single player game the only person you have any effect on is yourself.

Cheat engine should do what you want.

Just be sure to close the application (honestly given the kernel level anti-cheat systems nowadays I'd recommend a reboot) before playing anything multiplayer with anti-cheat software. Devs of most games won't care why cheat engine was open, just that it was open. I've seen so many threads of "I was cheating in a singleplayer game and got permabanned when I launched <MultiplayerGameHere>" that if using CE you should definitely to clear RAM with a reboot to be sure.

It's nice to see a gaming community that doesn't attack you for suggesting cheats or isn't comprised of so-called "hardcore" gatekeepers.

It's a singleplayer game, anyone who tries to tell you what you can and can't do with a singleplayer game is a fool. If it's a multiplayer game, or one with MP features (eg Dark Souls, Remnant/Rem II and so on) I could understand, but a singleplayer only game is your property and you should be able to do whatever you want with it.

From my understanding Seadogs was so difficult to make a trainer or use engine for that everyone gave up.

Mrantifun had a good trainer for SDTEHO, i used it for the money purposes, cuz i couldnt even get the ship without it.
hopefully in CL (carribean legend) all we can do is go into the config files like we could in CoAS, and modify the money and all that way but i cant seem to find the files to do so.

So far, enabling debug allows me to use O, G, J, and F to see various game data while in game, but nothing useful. It's a start(?)

I agree, I don't even wanna give myself millions of pesos or something, I just wanna have a backup solution in case I ♥♥♥♥ up so bad that I'm left with nothing.
