The pixel art is CONSIDERABLY better than Rabi-Ribi's, the dialogue stills have a lot more variants and is not like base Rabi-Ribi had that many splash shots besides the main menu, game pause and a handful of story CGs
Not a huge fan of Sayori's, granted my only exposure has been Nekopara but I think its way too detailed for this kind of game
Tsunako though, I'd L O V E to see that
With this context outlined, it should be pretty obvious why TEVI went for a much less controversial art style. Yeah, it's a pretty generic anime art style, but it's not offensive and won't tank the game's reputation.
But I would HATE if people were "don't like Einlee's art, unplayable". Please please please don't stoop to the level of those that initially dismissed Rabi-Ribi because of Saiste's designs.
I think I will until a more substantial sale, complete edition (dlc for rabi took a while to release, or mods for the portraits. The CG art looks pretty good imo. A bunch of the character portraits or designs I'm not a fan of though. Some not entirely, just a few artistic decisions I disagree with.
It doesn't make it a better game tho, so we'll see. But even if it's worse then Rabi overall - i can't see it being actually bad, at worse i expect weaker but still overall good game.
I wonder how big it is? Because Rabi had like a giant amounts of bosses, it's like 40+ or something. What's this game's scale i wonder? And is there some post-game or such? I heard demo had some sort of "expert+", is it like Dark Souls NG+ with auto-scalling stats or actuall new attacks for bosses?
