yes i got this game and red alert 2 for free on C&C website a few years ago. Glad i still have them on my PC

Tiberian Sun is freeware. EA released the game as freeware meaning anyone can download and play it for free and they don't have to buy it.
In this case its only included in a bundle purchase for completeness sake.

The real question is what are the player counts for the different versions? I think if you are playing vanilla then the cncnet version may be better playercount wise. If you want to play any of the mods I think the tiberian sun client is better, but unsure.
