buy the bundle it will exclude the others on purchase if you already own them. this is one feature i do like about steam when it comes to bundles.

Dude what, no.

If you don't want to buy something then you shouldn't have to buy something.
Lets say I don't want renegade but want RA2 and Generals. What happened to freedom of choice?

I do not agree with your argument

Then, don't buy it if paying extra for extra games is too much.

You can try to buy a single game via steamdb, some people get only c&c4 using steamdb

This. It filters out what you've already bought and gives you a new price based on what's left. If I look at the bundle logged out, it costs $9.88 for the entire collection. If I log in and it deducts what I already own from the price, it costs $5.18.

Of course the downside to this is that you have to already own the other games on Steam. This isn't going to help anyone who has their games on discs or other digital platforms.

And since it does list prices for each game individually, I think they should sell them individually. I'm not willing to not buy this considering the already low price, but if someone only wants to spend $2.98 for just Generals and Zero Hour instead of (at most) $9.88 for everything, they should be able to.

I assume this specifically? https://steamcommunity.com/app/2229850/discussions/0/4299320351880422536/#c4299320559084750706

And by "install the browser extension" I assume they mean this one linked at the very bottom of SteamDB? https://steamdb.info/extension/

I had no idea you could do that. "One weird trick to buy only the games you want, EA hates this" 😂

Thanks to those who gave sound, straight forward and common sense information. I dont own the steam versions, I have hard copies, so buying the whole bundle for deduct wouldnt work, but thats info that is good to know, so thanks God-of-Rpgz . However, the DB trick is pretty clever so thanks to rk for that tip.

So what you're saying is I should pay for extra ♥♥♥♥ that I DON'T want. You are contributing to unnecessary spending. Downright consumerism

OP stated they have all but generals and ZH so buying the bundle is the correct answer for them. i did assume they weren't aware that if they already own the others then they would be deducted from final cost.

and i don't need nor want agreement on a factual statement i made, if you want an argument find it somewhere else.

I am well aware I would be deducted, but I don't want the other few titles like Renegade, Tiberium wars etc. I just want Generals and Zero hour.

Just bought Gens from the DB! Love that trick so thanks! However, for some reason I cant purchase ZH through there. Not sure why but no Add To Cart option on it. Any ideas?

UPDATE: ZH finally showed up, got it as well. Thanks again.

Then don't buy it, simple.
A Mongoose Mar 8, 2024 @ 9:19am
It's not all the individual games.

It's the Ultimate Collection, which just so happens to contain all of the individual games. It's really not that expensive.

I just did a name search for C&C Generals on it's own. From there, I clicked add to cart.

It did list other C&C titles in the description but not for the price, which was below $7.00.

It also ended up being the only item from the bundle that was added to my library. I did the same with Zero Hour (again stand alone name search instead of clicking links through the EA sale links).
