Dude what, no.
If you don't want to buy something then you shouldn't have to buy something.
Lets say I don't want renegade but want RA2 and Generals. What happened to freedom of choice?
I do not agree with your argument
This. It filters out what you've already bought and gives you a new price based on what's left. If I look at the bundle logged out, it costs $9.88 for the entire collection. If I log in and it deducts what I already own from the price, it costs $5.18.
Of course the downside to this is that you have to already own the other games on Steam. This isn't going to help anyone who has their games on discs or other digital platforms.
And since it does list prices for each game individually, I think they should sell them individually. I'm not willing to not buy this considering the already low price, but if someone only wants to spend $2.98 for just Generals and Zero Hour instead of (at most) $9.88 for everything, they should be able to.
Look at this topic https://steamcommunity.com/app/2229850/discussions/0/4299320351880422536/
I assume this specifically? https://steamcommunity.com/app/2229850/discussions/0/4299320351880422536/#c4299320559084750706
And by "install the browser extension" I assume they mean this one linked at the very bottom of SteamDB? https://steamdb.info/extension/
I had no idea you could do that. "One weird trick to buy only the games you want, EA hates this" 😂
So what you're saying is I should pay for extra ♥♥♥♥ that I DON'T want. You are contributing to unnecessary spending. Downright consumerism
I am well aware I would be deducted, but I don't want the other few titles like Renegade, Tiberium wars etc. I just want Generals and Zero hour.
UPDATE: ZH finally showed up, got it as well. Thanks again.
It's the Ultimate Collection, which just so happens to contain all of the individual games. It's really not that expensive.
I just did a name search for C&C Generals on it's own. From there, I clicked add to cart.
It did list other C&C titles in the description but not for the price, which was below $7.00.
It also ended up being the only item from the bundle that was added to my library. I did the same with Zero Hour (again stand alone name search instead of clicking links through the EA sale links).
