The game is full released and a buggy mess. I pirated about 2 years ago and it was working fine-ish then thought I would finally buy the game because I had fun with it only to see that any time I go to the settings it just hangs there doing nothing.

Art style is great.
Controls are bad. Card fusion happens when you precisely hover over the card, and you have to pick the right card first. So shield + human = fusion; human + shield isn’t. When you do it the right way around, you sometimes play a card incorrectly because you didn’t hover precisely over it. It made me rage.

Game mechanics are okay.
Characters are.. I skipped al the text after the first map.

Giving it a thumbs down due to the bad controls.

I dunno man, this is one of those "yes, but..." recommendations. I played it and I had a good time, but it just feels like something is missing.

I went into Wolfstride (another game from Ota Imon Studios) with low expectations and was pretty impressed with how it all came together. This game was the opposite; I had high expectations and after the first chapter I was like "wait...that's it?!?".

It did grow on me. I did upgrade the companions and complete the story. I did try different strategies and they seem to work if you know what cards to look for. I liked the versatility of the card fusions. This was a decent game that doesn't take itself too seriously. If you like card games, then get it on sale.
