Changing crouch key was a game changer

Moved crouch to space bar... I know, that's sacrilegious, since the days of quake gamers have been mashing space bar to bunny hop thine foes into pwndome. But times have changed, we're tacticool now, its time for jump to take a backseat and give up the biggest key on the board throne for something far more practical... Crouch.

My new set up is
Space bar : Crouch (manual)
Shift : Sprint / Focus (manual)
Ctrl: Walk (manual)
Left Alt: Jump

It is working wonders so far. It took me a few days to get used to, but hot damn if it isn't more ergonomically functional. My pinky finger is very greatfull. Not to mention Q and E leans have gotten a lot easier while crouched.

Not to mention slide and focus aim while crouched are easy as pie now, no longer requiring carpel tunnel spasms.

Ctrl is a decent placement for me, I just changed it to toggle as opposed to the default hold setting.

But yea, I agree in spirit: crouch is bae. Jumping in Insurgency is for the trolls.

Dunno what's wrong with me, but I'm happy with Z for prone (toggle) and C for crouch (toggle).

Shift = Walk (manual)
CTRL = Sprint/focus (manual)
C = Crouch (manual)
Spacebar = Jump
Z & X = Leaning

I just dislike using toggle in all FPS games for some reason, oh well.

I jump on right mouse click and crouch (hold) on left shift =).

My Crouch key is "Mouse Wheel Back" & my Prone key is "Mouse Wheel Forward". I'm weird I know.

I always use CAPS for crouching. The only thing that sucks is the chat, but I don't play games to enhance my social interaction anyways....

For years I have had crouch on C and prone on Spacebar, so I can spam the big one when I really need to get down.

For years I've been trying to tell my friends to try swapping the default jump/crouch keys.

I use Spacebar for crouch and C for jump. Since you only jump over obstacles in this game, it makes sense to move it off of spacebar so something more commonly used can be placed there.

i too agree getting the controls mapped out to how you like them is what works best.

i have many things on my mouse. as said what works best for you is what's best.

I've actually got crouch mapped to a mouse button! Yeah, much easier to slide and duck when needed than the default binding.

I have shift and ctrl for run and crouch but toggled.
Mouse button 4 is for prone and Mouse button 5 is for talk.
Space is jump as default.
C is the communication wheel and mark enemies.

Am I the only one who wonders, that M should be the default button for Map and N for the gear-menu? They are switched by default, so you have map on n and gear-menu on M. I changed them accordingly.
