I'll try uninstalling and re-installing and seeing how it works. Intermittent issues are a pain to troubleshoot... it could work a few times then crap out again so I'll wait a little bit before I say its fixed.
but I don't use workshop. do you alt tab and things?
it could also be the newest version of drivers as well. did this issue JUST start when you got new drivers?
also what is your gpu?
Since you are a PC user ;) you are aware that any update (no matter how irrelevant) can mess up things it wasn't supposed too.
It sound more like an issue with your graphics card. or shadow software. I would reinstall it, and INS and see if that fixes it.
Come to think of it, it's possible it has absolutely nothing to do with Insurgency. Insurgency is just the only game that I can play for a few hours without getting bored... my sessions in Titanfall, America's Army Proving Grounds, Black Ops 1, etc. are all much shorter.
I'm also using a RAM disk as my temp save location, but I doubt that has nothing to do with it. I've used a RAM disk for recording on my laptop, and on this desktop for quite some time with 0 issues.
I believe this only happens when I have my mic set to "Always on", not when its set to PTT or Off. But the PTT fucntion of Shadowplay is too delayed (it always cuts off words) so Always on is like the only mode I can use :/
Hmms. The only other thign I can think that might set it off us using a RAM disk as a temp file location, but I did that on my laptop without problems for the longest time. On my laptop it was sorta required since the HDD couldn't keep up, I only do it on my desktop because I have the RAM to spare and I feel like it lowers wear & tear on my HDD.
