Whats up with all the Islamophobia?

Every server I go on there are almost always people screaming "Allahu Akbar!" or "Takbir!" or "I must kill my self for Allah!". A lot of my Muslim friends stopped playing because it felt so hostile and Anti-Muslim. Isn't the idea of playing online enjoying a game you love, with friends or with strangers of different cultures without the barrier of distance. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all of them want to blow themselves up. Most of them want to go home from work, hug their children and wife, eat a sandwich and pray 5 times a day. If I started calling a black guy N***er, or a German guy a Nazi I would probably be kicked from a server. But if make fun of a Muslim and his religion, nothing happens. Don't judge average, everyday Muslims because of what some extremists did. Muslims are people too.

You do realise that nobody means to offend peaceful Middle Eastern folks?

When somebody shouts any of those, it's simply role-playing or making fun of those extremists. I even played with one guy from Qatar who used the (in)famous "Allahu Akbar" phrase. And we both had a laugh.

Thus, you're getting the wrong impression. If I'm on Security, I like to say silly stuff like "'For freedom, for democracy, for America!", "America, ♥♥♥♥ yeah!" or "Who ate my last donut?". Does that mean I'm anti-'Murican?

Making fun of extremism isnt the same as making fun of Islam. Its like somebody making fun of Westboro Baptist Church and then a kind-hearted, tolerant Christian getting offended. When is the last time you heard a normal Muslim guy yell "Allahu Akbar"? Probably never, its simply not a thing. The above point about yelling "MUH FREEDOMS" and "AMERICA!" is also a really good one.

Also, can somebody explain to me how the "-phobia" suffix is now added to everything? That suffix suggests fear, being an ass and being scared of something are different.

Most probably since fear is being seen as the cause for such behaviour. Fear will stimulate the reptilian brain which means either the fleeing pattern or the attacking pattern will be used.

Same with xenophobia.

This is making fun of extremism and the extremist attitudes of terrorists today. I get a big kick out of this. When my friends and I play we throw on arabic accents and talk about the driving back the kuffar, yell Allahu akbar at the appropriate times and have a good time.

When we play as Security we throw on southern accents and talk about our cousins and otherwise play up the Stupid American stereotype.

When you roleplay with your team everyone has more fun. There's always muting and disabling of VoIP... and family friendly servers.

Ummm although I do think it's stupid and immature the amount of people yelling those phrases and frequency at which they do so. This is a game about terrorists and security forces, in context it's acceptable and you are taking it out-of-context comparing it to hate speech. If you were playing almost any other game and people were saying those things then it would be prejudice and unecessarily hateful but that's not the case here. It's just immaturity and idiocy, but not directed to cause pain, fear, or hatred towards a group of people.

For those reasons i have voice chat turned off, and i can play peacefully with my friends over our own voice chat... Simple solution for simple problem.

Insurgent doesnt mean terrorist. Were Iraq soldiers terorists? It was war. They defended their country.

No I never said the Iraqi soldiers were terrorists, but the insurgents in this game are very clearly depicted to be the bad guys we call "terrorists" in most places. They wear no military uniform and no insignia of a nations military, they also carry out-dated weaponry not found among modern military. I'm a "muslim" myself, I live in Turkey and I dont really care about arabs or their so called
"religion of peace" Arabs choose this life style with their own decisions and they got what
they deserved, just like in history.

I'm proud to be Turk but I cant tell the same for this religion.

Religion is the best way to make enemies and money, thanks to ignorant sheeps.

As for this game, yup still playing it as Security forces, its fun to blow up rebels with
grenade launchers.
