How to create a game with my friends and bots against bots?

I was trying to enjoy the game with my friends. We are all novices so we don't want to ruin others' games. We just wanted to play against bots, but how do I create a game with my friends and bots against bots? There is no button called "create a game".

Usually you do all that within the console. Idk though. If you want to just play with your friends against bots, find an empty COOP server dude.

If I find one empty server, can I prohibit others from joining?

You can't prohibit others from joining. You need to create a server in order to play with someone. Just like when you go in game and you see list of servers come up, those are the servers that by the community or the developers. If you want to play with friends without other random people, you need to create a server and lock it down with a password to play privately.

Most people just rent it from some gameserver hosting because they don't want to deal with bunch of setup and configs.
