1 (green) Villagename is attacking 2 (yellow) Villagename
Number if you have a higher amount of one citytype (desert, forest, swamp), so 2 forestvillages or whatever and a colour to indicate what type of village it already is.
Would love it that way. Would make it easier to react and handle it because you would know what is going on. I ever watch the list at the upper left corner but still then i sometimes dont get which village is attacking which (<--correct english?xD).
I like the villagenames so far and wouldnt change them, but a better indication of who is who would be good.
Very, very much agreed; I think that color-coding the villages according to what kind of terrain the village is built upon is a really good idea, and would help a lot. Maybe have a bracket enclosing the number of the village, determined by the order in which they were created. I think the current village names are really good as-is, but I've had a desert village with "forest" in the name, and so that REALLY doesn't help when you're trying to see what's going on.
For my freeplay game, I want the names of my villages to mean something, so I can react quickly.
CastleRun (My forest village with a castle)
BluePort (My ocean village)
ShiningValley (My desert village)
Bannerrock (Mountain Village)
MarshTown (Swamp Village)
Too bad that I lost the save of that one... so I started over and now I have to re-load a hundred times for each village to get a favourable name again.
Having a town called LushWood in the middle of my desert is seriously annoying.
Exactly.
Sounds like a Scottish dental practice.

ShiningPath ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shining_Path )
Townville

Frostwood in the desert
Highpeak next to the ocean
ShininRun in the swamp
And yet, after 3 hours reloading my freestyle game, I managed to get proper names for all my five biomes again! :)
Castlewood
DarkMarsh Tribe
Firevalley
LegionPort
BannerVille Clan
Doesn't take much guesswork to know which is which. Back to experimenting!
Other than that, I'd agree. I'd trade off the ability to do that, just to narrow down the list of names on the spot.
When you can personnalize, you are more in the game ;)
Even if like you said, we don't create village, it's villagers. But it's doesn't bother to let us decide the name of village.
