I played a lot of the first game and I watched the second game. You can buy either one and you will not get disappointed.

Well Reus 1 is currently on sale for only $1 and there is a bundle with both with a 10% discount. So if you decide to get Reus 2 I would recommend the bundle with both as it is actually cheaper then buying just Reus 2.

In terms of value Reus 1 is going to be better. 1 dollar is pretty hard to beat. I want to play this game again but I would have to look for my old save file on another computer. The main difference I remember was the villagers fighting being much more of a hassle in Reus 1. They could do a lot of damage. There are probably a lot of UI improvements that I am not remembering too.

I've being playing a lot of Reus 2 the dlc just came out and a new free patch. The reason why I bought Reus 2 is because I played Reus 1 quite a bit. It was a long time between the two too.
