Hi guys, I'm one of the devs, and mantainer of the linux/mac versions. Nice to meet you all here!

I've just uploaded a fix for both a launcher crash and the missing ncurses5 problem.
Let's try to be organized, post all your linux&mac related issues here, and we'll do our best to fix them asap.

I also have the resolution-crash problem; I click Play, then the resolution changes and the game disappears (Steam says it's still open, but nowhere to be found). I'm on Ubuntu 14.04.

I have a keyboard related problem. After some package updates, I forget which ones since it was last year, the game behaves as the alt key is stuck(pressing enter for example switches between windowed mode and fullscreen) so I can't type or do anything else for that matter, even exiting the game since pressing escape does nothing. Since then, I've done an instal of the same linux distro(http://www.rosalab.com/products/desktop_fresh/download) in a second machine and the problem is still there. Everything works fine if I switch to US layout but then it gets awkward to chat since all the punctuation gets screwed up. The layout of my keyboard is Portuguese so make it work fine with that please.

EDIT: This seems to have solved itself, I don't really know wich system update fixed it though.

PS: Having to check dot damage to show on both battle log and enemy health bar is rather dumb. I don't have a clue why NGD would even make that an option...

Hi, I upgraded to xubuntu 14.04 and when I start the game and choose my hero, it starts loading and then suddenly kicks me out to the desktop.

When playing in fullscreen mode, my keyboard is unavailable. I just can't type anything and ESC won't work. Works fine in windowed mode though. Phenom II CPU, Radeon 6970 VGA, lubuntu 14.04. Please fix this issue, as I can't stand windowed mode.

I found out that the game does not kick me out, only if I play in grafics safe mode settings

I run Linux Mint 16 "Petra" and when I launch the game I get the fallowing error Messages back-to-back
-Directory 'en_US' couldn't be created (error 13: Permission denied)
-can't open file 'rolauncher.mo'(error 13: Permission denied)
-can't create file 'eula_temp.html'(error 13: Permission denied)
-Unable to open requested HTML document: eula_temp.html
the game never launches after this.I understand this is a Permissions but I do not know how to correct this issue.

Mine are naked too, on Xubuntu (both 13.10 and 14.04). still havent found a way to fix it personally, though I have not been really playing it. Someone once told me to install it without steam, but I think the game doesn't support anything beyond 12.04 cause I cant install the 32 bit libraries that it wants, it tells me that some other packages replace that. so if you are using something based on any distro past 12.04, you will have naked characters. I personally also have a missing pelvis.
They really need to get on that so that the newer distros can play without going through some extra hoops.

Haven't read all the pages, so not sure if it was discussed before.
LinuxMint 16 (petra)
The problem is I can't alt+tab, at all. BUT when it turn steam overlay with shift+tab i can alt+tab though it won't actually do anything just cycle icons, game is still running in the background BUT i can't turn off steam overlay nor there's the game icon when i alt+tab. So i get stuck and have to restart.
Another one i can't reproduce yet is the game crashes when i get a Skype message.
One more is before the loading screen the graphics gets shaky for several seconds, it's nothing critical at all.
And i've found a place with infinite falling in game so i had to Die to get out, it's far off the main roads so nothing critical too.

When clicking the "Play" button for Regnum, when it begins to load resources for the game, it gets stuck on "Verifying Data5.SBD" and the loading bar bounces back and fourth with that same text. As if it were caught in some kind of infinite loop.

I could attempt to reinstall Regnum on here but I wouldn't know how it might make things better.

Im trying to run Regnum on my computer its an AMD A10 7850 with Radeon R7 graphics
- it keeps crashing and returning to desktop as soon as i select my character and try to enter the game, Tried it on Ubuntu 14.04, Porteus linux, Mint and Fedora same problem on all
Linux os i tried, also tried to use amd proprietary drivers from amd.com and opensource same problem, please help i want to totally dump my Windows and go all Linux
