If you're looking to use it, I'd hold off and see if it gets fixed. I'm truly shocked it wasn't implemented in a beta driver already considering RE5 being a "3D Vision Ready" title.
It's got a few chips here and there, but it is by no means completely broken or unplayable. I've been using nothing but the keyboard and mouse for Infernal, and I've been doing fine.
Still on about the resolution, I see. Parts of the game look pretty awful at even 1920x1080, so anything higher would likely make it even worse. Just quit whining already.
(still 2 days to go here).
Again, the game looks /awful/ in some parts, even at 1920x1080. The 3D map, for instance? Blocky as hell. It might look alright at 3DS resolution, but it seems like the devs forgot to scale up that model, or any of the level geometry, really. Textures range from alright to horrific, too. As much as you might feel that your resolution should be supported, because some people use it, 1920x1080 is far more common, and much more standard than 2560x1440 will ever be, in all likelihood.
You really don't. There's a demo out, and it's been out for a while. You could have started that up, and checked if your resolution was in the game. Hell, you could have even asked around here, but instead, you chose to buy the game without checking.
Like it or not, you're the one at fault here. Capcom has no obligation to provide a specific resolution. You can ask them to include an option for it, sure, but demanding things isn't the way to go, and getting angry about it isn't going to help anyone. The mouse aim is awful right now, but am I going to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it? Nah. Besides, wbacon has even said that there's a patch in the works.
If you're really that upset about the game not supporting your native resolution, send a ticket to Capcom's support team. They're the ones that can help, since the ini tweak doesn't work in your specific situation.
The best part about this is, if you'd just stated your grievance in a calm, respectful manner, nobody would have jumped down your throat about it. Because you and that other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ had to go and start a bitchfest about it, though, you're going to get some rude responses.
