I got a RE revelations gift, but the gift dont says if it is ROW or RU version, because a few months ago steam remove the RU tag from the store.
Im worry about it, i dont know if i should add the game to the library because i wont problems like account bans or something like that.
Thank you.

no TAG = ROW.
For this game in particular it's safe to use a RU/CIS copy because they're not region locked and contentwise its the same as ROW

wbacon from capcom already confirmed that (more than once)

But if you go to ru store RE revelations has a different id than ROW version.
ROW version is 27841
RU version is 27842
Two versions have the same name in the store, the RU has been removed, but it is still RU version, you can check it with the ids.
But if there is no problem with that ill use it, even if it is a RU game.
Im only worry about steam region policy. if there is no problem ok then.
Thank you.

help with what? the game is already on your library, play it, what do you want more?

I only wanted t know if steam would ban my account or something before adding the game.
I dont know how steam region policy works :S, and i get some advices from people saying that steam bans your account if you use RU keys or something.
I asked about it, and they said that.
I only want a "Yes you can" or "No, youll get banned" but the said "We cant help you". Ok..
Anyways, the game works fine.
Thanks for your opinion again.

I've already told you more than once that its safe, the rep from CAPCOM told that himself. I get gifts from Russian traders all the time, and they're safe to use (in most cases).
Want an example? Check my steam gift inventory for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat copy, It's also a RU copy. I got 2 and unpacked one for myself

As long as the whole process is made through the trade system that steam allows, without violating TOS (using proxys/vpn to buy from other localizated stores or to activate region locked gifts, etc) you wont have problems

Customer support will never tell you that is safe (neither the opposite), its a business, they have no real interest in selling cheaper game copies
