I need help with Infernal (Solved)
Edit: I will make another post for how to clear infernal with little to no inconvienences at a later date. Just beat the final boss as of writing and, I need a break rn. So I'll make another post about this later. Take that norman!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This mode is a major step up from Normal. Just finished my normal mode playthrough and thought it was fine. But, it seems as though infernal expects you to dodge everything, even though every enemy is so tightly clumped that they out damage the dodge delay.

I can't fake out the enemies like I could in RE1's hard mode (I know they are very differnet games but not being able to fake out an enemy still stinks).

My biggest problem so far is the dodging itself. I am in new game plus so I have all of my weapons and a decent amount of ammo, but I am saving it for those tanky bosses.

Basically, how on earth do I dodge. No matter what, weather its space or w, it only triggers 25% of the time. When I get nabbed in infernal, I can't shake off guys anymore. In Normal I could shake most everything off before taking any damage, but now I cannot.

Another thing I have encountered is that scanning dudes with the genesis yields very little percentage for the free health item. Yes, there are a lot of guys, but to scan all of them I would either run out of ammo or die in the process.

I had a contingency, which was to activate the "freeze herb count" in the mod manager. I tested it just now out of frustration, but it does not work (all other mods I've tested do work however).

So, as earlier, any tips on how to guarantee the dodge to actually work would be wonderful. Any ideas of how to efficiently bait enemies would also be fantastic! Lastly, if there really is no way to get the janky systems to work, does anyone know of a trainer I could use that would allow me to refill my health items. I don't want to be invincible, but if I need to compensate for game being janky I am happy to do so.

Thanks in advance ;)

Edit: Also if anyone knows where I can find a list of what guns enemies are weak and resistant to that'd also be amazing, thanks again.

It's been a good while but from what I remember, the very beginning was kind of intimidating but the rest of the game didn't feel very different from normal mode. Jill is easier cause she has weapons, I remember using a costume for Parker where he uses an axe or hatchet which killed hunters in like two slashes. The trickiest part might be with Quint and Keith, the part with the supercomputer. I also remember saving a rocket launcher from Kirk which I used on the final boss' back as soon as he kneeled down, so I didn't really struggle much with that fight either.

As for dodging, I get the impression that there is a cooldown where dodging doesn't work for a little bit after you stop running, so my personal advice would be to wait for enemies to come closer to you and/or to move sideways if you know you're gonna be dodging soon (since it doesn't seem to affect the cooldown or whatever it is).
For knifing enemies you can walk sideways around them as well, especially for hunters as Parker. There might be better ways to do it, I haven't really watched many pro players for this game at all so most of what I know is what I managed to figure out myself

Thanks anthony, I managed to get to the final boss today actually, maximum effort was engaged haha. As of writing I am fighting norman, please end me. Seriously though, I think norman is undodgeable.

Aaaand I tried to bring a rocket launcher from kirk but the game removed both I had in my inventory. Apparently, according to 2 forums I just read, the only rocket launcher in the game you can keep is during the section where you are rushing to activate the UAV. I used mine on the first playthrough because it was conveniently next to a chubb and rachel, both of whom I killed with the rpg. Aaand if you enter new game plus you don't get a new one, so I'm doomed.

As for dodging, I have gathered that you need to dodge to the side of their attacks, but as I mentioned earlier the window seems to be miliseconds small.

I tried the controller trick where you hold x/a down and spin the left stick really fast, didn't work either :(

I'm still gonna try and beat norman. But whoever worked on this boss and the dodge mechanic in total must be some of the worst devs ever lol, I can only imagine the horrible time 3DS players had.
I beat norman, found a near-cheese strat.

I'll post a full guide and weapon build for how I beat him without dodging once.

I am free.
