Cant pick up second metal pipe / bar to get out of the room that fills with water

As mentioned in the title. If i look correctly, I have no further open slot in the key objectives inventory. Unfortunately I cant drop worthless items like notes. Any suggestions?

Why do you need to drop items in order to pick up metal pipe? You just pick up it, then use it on the manhole cover. When it's broken, find the second one, then do it again. This time you will be out of water!

I can only pick up one, the other one i dont get the option to pick up. It doesnt matter which one i take first. Since i have no empty item slot after taking the first pipe, I assume that there ia a maximum amount of key objectives items that you can carry.

Guess I have to play the game again and be more careful in reading / picking up the notes in order to have more space available when I reach that point of the game again.

Jill can only carry one pipe at a time, so make sure you use the one you currently have to pry open the grating covering the exit before attempting to pick up the second pipe. If you already used the first pipe, then you're probably just trying to pick up the second pipe at a wrong angle.

Also, notes does not take up inventory space. ALL Resident Evil games have unlimited capacity for notes. I have played RE Revelations multiple times with all the notes in my inventory, and it does not affect my key item capacity at all.

Yes, pick up the second one after you used the first one. If it doesn't work, then it's bug. You need to restart the game. I experienced this before.

Never even noticed any kind of "item" problem with the pipe, but I've never been able to do it on the first try--always have to pick up the "second" pipe (not sure if it's a different one or the one I dropped?). So yeah, it sounds like a game bug. You may have to use some kind of rapid-fire controller or be able to do it with the keyboard (?) to get it open on the first try, if you can't pick up the second one.

Find pipe 1, use pipe 1 on hatch, pipe 1 breaks -> swim to pipe 2, pick up pipe 2, use pipe 2 on hatch, pipe 2 opens hatch. I remember 2 pipes being enough, but you might have to repeat with pipe 3 to open the hatch.
