I missed the days when players actually love this game. Nowadays, I barely see anyone who wants to learn the game.
It intimidates players.
Then the game doesn't have an objective for Trinity Bonuses. And some important parts are behind those bonuses, but even then there's a 50% chance of dropping useless Bottomless Pouches.
The average player doesn't have it in them to replay the same stage to master - and I understand that. IIRC, my first time I got carried as well.
And lastly, the game is old, and remaster of a portable title to boot.
But for me, REv1 did some things that clicked: the setting, the characters in diving suits. I really like Raid Mode's modularity. This is why I tried to master it.
But even so I miss the old times (in my case, it's year 2019) where players used to exchange ideas on how to beat each stage and what weapons/parts combinations are optimal to complete each mission or objective.
I really miss the times where this game has depth and meaning, as I even spent time writing some guides to help players (not the best, but still can be helpful), and players teaching newbies how to catch the fish, not asking for a fish.
Nevertheless, I had a lot of experiences carrying players both good and bad. I think the best experience I had is not when I helped a few guys getting their gluttony 5, but rather a few players who became good bcoz I motivated them. And the bad experience is when I helped two ladies getting their gluttony 5 and acted like a b*tch bcoz they misunderstood my question.
Is this the guide you are referring to?
