Raid Mode and Hunk is depressing.
I'm gonna have to say the unlocks for Raid mode are pretty miserable. HUNK out of all characters doesn't really have any special stats does he? And yet, you likely have to spend nearly 30 hours trying to unlock him from start to finish provided you don't get bored playing off and on or going on a 48 hour Raid spree. Not to mention other skins and weapons..

I wanted an RE game where I could play as HUNK. But I guess I'm gonna have to settle for Fallout New Vegas's Riot Armors to even cut it close to feeling like a badass now... Sorry for my rant, hope you feel my pain. Raid mode is not necessarily bad, it's like, "The difference between junk food, and a nice dessert." as Egoraptor once said.

Actually, HUNK has some rather Decent Skill/Stats
Machine gun mastery 4. (He's the only one who has this)
Magnum Mastery 1.
Shadow Dancer 2.
Hunk is one of the few who has Shadow Dancer 2 (gives you more window of Opportunity when doing Dodges)
Getting S ranks on all of the Abyss difficulty Stages is a B*tch though xD but i feel it's worth it ^^

Maybe for another day perhaps. I really feel tired after completeing the campaign and running through half the levels on Raid mode for the beginer difficulty withen the same 2 days. I really don't like grinding like this.

I think the Raid concept comes from MMOs or rpgs such as Diablo/Ice Wind Dale, all that grinding and farming, fighting for loot/drops, that's what raid stands for. Some people like it that way.
As for Revelations, it is really painful if you're going solo, especially on later difficulties. However if you find a partner things can become much easier, and can be fun throughout the process. I personally only wanted to unlock Jessica, and not too keen on hurrying through Abyss now, which is a whole other story compared to Chasm/Trench.

FNV is really great, those NCR rangers are combat veterans and are very badass. Do you play with mods?

Just a repair mod or two, and Mission Mojave. I don't like using too many mods with Bethesda games. The engines they designed for them get really finiky and crashy if one decides to use a good number of game altering or graphical inhancement types. Although, it would be nice to find a really well done mod that allows freeplay after completion with the necessary cleanup.
