Crapcom is back, is it time to review bomb?
Lol I can't believe they're updating Rev 1, a 10+ year old game to break all thr mods. RIP all ghost ship nightmare players

They really thought this was le epic stealth test run for an anti-modding DRM and we wouldn't notice since it's le old game lmao

Yeah lol, they thought they were sneaky. But nope, we RE enjoyers care about our fav franchises. It makes 0 sense to go back to this game and patch out all mods. They should focus on fixing ORC instead, haven't heard anything about it since they removed it

They never really left (looking at the DLC lists for the recent MH titles and how SF6 monetization isn't any different from any trashy AAA studio), it's just that they started making good games again for most people to ignore/not care.

They added it to Resident Evil 5 last year and not enough people complained I guess.

I just added a negative review to every Capcom game I own.

Are you sure it was RE5? PCGamingwiki does acknowledge Engima but doesn't have it listed as a DRM (and they usually are on the ball with keep track of DRM) and nobody on the steam forums seem to mention it and I feel like they would if mod compatibility issues crop up due to fixes people have done for a while.

I'm just asking since Capcom definitely have been putting it on other more recent titles (like REmake 4, SF6, and Ghost Trick remastered).

Honestly want to as well. At least for the ones that have confirmed Enigma. I don't even play Rev anymore but I know a couple peeps who still played it, only for the Ghost Ship Nightmare mod. Now that's dead

And now CAPCOM has done two things to prevent me from pre-ordering Dragon's Dogma 2. This, and Denuvo. I'll just get it a few years later in a Humble Bundle. Same way I've received every RE game. Good thing I'm patient. They deserve even less money now, though.

Carpet bombing time, I do believe... and a hard look at every update they've pushed since that "all mods are cheating" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Yeah I think they are using it to virtualize steam_api functionality on RE5. They also made big changes to the game that broke compatibility with old mods anyway so probably went undetected amidst the changes. These newer iterations seem to be more aggressive.

Until I'm proven wrong, I think this issue is just a mistake. This is the only game to have that update and it's such a random game to add such an update to. And the fact that's it's just Enigma with no Denovo added. I'm going to go Hanlon's Razer unless I'm wrong.
Oh, yeah. The damned update broke my 4K patch some good guy had made for Revelations. Now, the game detects the patch is a ‘virus’, and refuse to launch when it is installed.

I’ve googled like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3 hours yesterday to find out what happened. No result on the internet until I realized it could be this mysterious update:serioussam::serioussam:

Motherfxxk, I ended up made the rest of my trip on the ghostship with 2K texture and my only YT walkthrough video, that isn’t 4K. Well done Crapcom :ritonaangry::ritonaangry::ritonaangry:

The Mega Man, X & Zero collections have it too. Wake up fool.

Ok? I didn't know that? Is it a new update?

And of course, they did not take Proton into account.
