^The dinosaurs running the pc department over at Capcom are completely disconnected from their PC customers and their needs. Adding this sort of garbage post launch after people purchased the product as originally advertised should be illegal.

However I did some tests and I see that dgvoodoo and reShade still work fortunately. But unfortunately nothing can be done for the fusion fix. Never mind, you'll have to play it at 60fps.

It's better to switch on Switch, ironically much better than PC version with all these worthless updates ruining the game and renders it unplayable.

I doubt they added DRM. Capcom has been good with removing Denuvo after a year or two for the past few years. They are not adding DRM that costs hundreds of thousands of $ to a game that barely makes any sales nowadays lol

They have been adding Enigma Protector to their games, even old games. Maybe a part of their recent anti-modding stance? Truly incomprehensible tbh.

That was my concern as well.

I don’t know what they did but after the patch the game stopped starting:
Fatal Error
ERR01: Failed to create Directinput device
I found a way to start the game (new version) by launching Steam as an admin and what I noticed:
fps dropped by 10-15 fps and also fps has now become unstable compared to the version before the patch (I have a saved copy of the game before the patch and can compare before and after the patch)
CAPCOM don't touch old games with new updates!!! Or save the previous version (before the patch) of the game in the Steam Betas.
Windows 8.1 here.

That is disappointing. Any idea why it might be hitting this error and getting the lower fps?

I need to make a workaround for this enigma protector. Can someone upload the exe from previous version, I forgot to make a backup.

Can you use download_depot to download the old version? https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/611h5e/guide_how_to_download_older_versions_of_a_game_on/

I thought about that bug yesterday when played for RE.net event... and I'm shocked, that they fixed it after about a 1 year! I thought I will never will be fixed. Now they need to rerelase a Samurai Edge DLC on Steam shop.

PS Interesting how fast will they fix RE ORC and Games for Windows LIVE issue? In RE5 it was fast, but in ORC - 5 years? Never?

Framerate is now much more unstable. 120 FPS can no longer hold steady, capping at 100 seems fine, but this is a terrible update.

Oh wow. Just when they started to release some good stuff, they start making idiotic moves. No surprise from a Japanese company. All they want to do is make things difficult

^They've stated that they don't like that PC is an open platform. Fundamentally misunderstanding why we even play on PC and how the community fixes and improves compatibility for their abandoned games because of that. Just wait and see how they do the same to other broken games like DMC4 SE with the buffer overflow resolution issue making it even harder to patch for the average user.

Stuck in the 90s. They should take a hint from the way Sony has been handling their PC releases of late.

Do the sensitive thing guys and start reviewing the game.
I still see plenty of recent positive reviews......
Pekora Jan 9, 2024 @ 8:00pm
They also deleted chinese language for the whole game lmao
Oz Gaming Jan 9, 2024 @ 9:18pm
Update has just been reversed guys.
