What's RE Trainers true intentions?

Started to play RE saga long ago with OG RE2 and completely loved it, but getting all RE5 achievements last year I found about Trainers. Some said they're bad since they're used to cheat, some say they're good since they allow chara swap and save files modifications.

I want to know what you think about it; is there even a trainer for Revelations? Is people cheating something usual in these games?

Mostly for cheating purposes but can also be used for experimentation. But the line is often blurred. For example back in the day, I used trainer to experiment but also was tempted to use it for easy BP earn so I don't have to grind hard. I think it's not bad. But using trainer on coop is often look down by community.

Cheating then claiming you did it by yourself like trinities especially GSTB is also not nice especially because you only lie to yourself. Lol. Same goes to RE events.

Aside from what I've mention, I find trainer useful on practice. For example, you want to practice no damage on deck fight for GSTB attempt, u can use trainer to bypass enemies and go straight to deck to save time. I did that when attempting to trinity Nightmare mod. Say what u want, but it saves me time on doing practice.

Now I'm playing on Nintendo Switch and I don't even want to learn or know if cheating exists on this platform.

That's something I didn't like from RE5-6 versus modes, people there was using invencibility or inf. ammo ; seems like they enjoy being cheaters and don't care about corrupting other people's saves.

Damn, people really enjoy cheating Trinities? What's the use for not being able to do something yourself 💀

Okay, that seems like a pretty good use for a trainer, didn't know no-clip existed. Would love to have a training room in game so people could master every enemy but this one seems quite useful too:D

I don't look for trainers myself because:
1. Most files have viruses.
2. People look down at you when you ask for this.
3. Sounds risky for my save file.

A Trainer is like a hammer, it's not an inherently good or bad thing, it's just a tool, it all depends on what do you intend to use it for, and how. Just because someone can use a hammer to hit someone else in the head doesn't mean that the hammer is bad, or that everyone with a hammer is a dangerous person.

Trainers/Cheats/Mods are used for different purposes. Generally speaking, it's considered bad when used by players to give themselves unfair/unintended advantages against other players. But they can also be used for many other reasons that have nothing to do with that. In fact, in some games it's actually possible to use cheats to make the game harder for yourself.

That's a good explanation. Tbh, being able to no-clip from the start of GS to Deck just to practice that fight sounds pretty good, but I'm not sure of how to find that tool and well, kinda scared of bans xd

Trainer is how i got the play 50 of certain game mode achievements in RE5
The rest of the game i did legit
Maybe they should never much such stupid achievements haha
Im down for raid mode legit if i can ever find players
