Version differences?

Hey guys,

Just to make things clear, I am not here to argue, just a bit sad cause the game feels like a bit smaller due to "missing" content compared to consoles and I am eager to hear your opinions about the topic.

But let's start from the beginning:
As a newbie, I started raid mode and while I was on my way to level 50, I realized PC version is lack of Level adjuster and Rare finder mods (and who knows what else). Level adjuster is just a thing, this game has a nice community and people are eager to help you out in many ways if needed, on the other hand after Medal of Courage, experience on Abyss 1 is quite fair. And you only need to level up once. The biggest problem is the rare finder, I saw many videos on youtube from someone, who uses 9 rare finders on consoles and getting both orange and purple weapons even under the same run.

When I hit level 50, started to farm GS for Gluttony. In the meanwhile someone from here helped me out with Ghost Ship and I tough that when I complete Ghost Ship, Ghost Ship: Chaos will unlock (really wanted to try that out cause of farming videos on youtube). BUT dang....nothing happened and when I checked the wiki, it says GS: Chaos is console exclusive.

I don't mind if I have to grind, cause this game is really much FUN and I like to get stuff as a reward for my hard work.

On the other hand I was confused because everyone mentioned that there's a basic route in Ghost Ship: Chaos where you can get 4 weapon cases and found a 20 minutes video with that exact route. I do a deck run generally around 18:00 (i am still a newbie) which is 1 weapon case overall in here.

Anyway, I want to say thank you to all for your help and I am still playing the game even if it's grindy, because it's fun.

But why they excluded these content from the PC version? I wonder.

because the marketing and profit

if you already have PC-version and get all that new console content for free (as an update) then why should you buy the new console version in first place, right?

by locking the new content behind the consoles the force the audience to buy those new versions

there is literally no profit for Capcom by making those changes free for PC-audience, but locking them behind the paywall can lead to marginal income gross, simple as that

Unfortunately, this is true, the console version is more advanced.

I'd recommend you to create account on residentevil.net. You can take part in online events and earn weapons, a decent weapons. The other is just a matter of your interest to this game (about myself: I have 2K+ hours and it's not too much for me. I haven't achieved what I wanted)

Obviously this is a simple answer. Suppose you are a company and selling a Product A. After a period of time, you upgrade Product A with some features to call it Product B, then so on, Product C, Product D are presented in the market now. Would you consider the buyers of Product A to give them free upgrade to the most advanced Product D? You may only encourage those buyers to buy the new version products at a special price, but not free.

Fortunately, there are players who do these for PC version players. They developed Mod to let this game more playable, even better than new versions from Capcom. From their Mod, like Ghost Ship: Nightmare, you can even obtain 27 weapon and 17 parts boxes. There are all high probabilities to obtain rare tag weapons and legendary parts like Gluttony 1 - 5, Cornucopia 1 - 5 or Auto Loader 1-5.

I am happy and lucky for that I own this PC game.

The mods are awesome!
- I downloaded Ghost Ship: Chaos mod for PC, but didn't try it out yet
- I checked Ghost Ship: Nightmare also and it's awesome, but I am not prepared for it yet. Will try out anyway! :- )
- I didn't know the Ghost Boat series till this time. Eager to try it out.

On the other hand I found a mod with improved item quality drop and the author mentioned that the console version item drops are updated with the new version of RE: Revelations, but the PC version remains outdated, they didn't improve it.

Tried out this mod and the last 5 drop was lvl 49 equipment from Ghost Ship cases...
This was the main reason why Ghost Ship: Chaos videos shows so powerful loot in youtube videos.
It doesn't mean you don't have to grind, but the game turns to be a bit more rewarding. I like it! :)

I bought tons of cases already, spent 250k RE points overall. Got a really good Serpent and a Dictator. I use them to farm Ghost Ship, both really powerful and +30 already. :- )) Only problem with my Serpent is it has only 2 slots which is quite bad, but it has 31k base damage, so literally 1-2 hit everything even when I am doing trinity on Abyss. Hunting for Thunder Raptor or better Serpent atm (lvl50. 4-5 slots).


I also tried Resident Evil: Revelations 2 because I saw it has many on-going events also on RE .net. It's a relatively good game, but somehow the first one feels much better for me. When I sit down to play with this game, I always feel myself happy, this game has something the other one doesn't. At least for me. On the other hand I am really happy and proud as part of this community. :- ))

Cool! I see something has changed in online events and now even more people can obtain more prizes. That's super! I'm really glad about that!
What about Serpents... It's enough to have the red one 48lvl, in this case the legendary "a size doesn't matter" (lmao) matches 100% I have a lot of various Serpents and trust me I only used 2 of them. The same thing with Thunder Raptor: practically lvl 49 is the best. Another case with machineguns, handguns and shotguns- as higher their lvl is as better.

I have an unfinished business at Ghost Ship, in a short & full runs. In my dreams I hear the splash of waves, a metal creaking, a sound of footsteps, a whispers covered by words which sound like a mantra:" Vengeance of God, o how much oughtest thou..." OK, jokes aside. I really could improve my results in every type of run what might be counted as an achievement
