Ghost ship solo
I'm using Jessica, lvl50. Running with High roller, Muramasa (3x burst + autoreloader) and Government full burst. Even with ammo magnets GS is freaking impossible. I'm wasting most of my ammunition and grenades on final deck (where waves of enemies spawns) and then i'm out of ammo/herbs when Norman shows up.

Any tips for solo?

Cornucopia, gluttony or other very rare stuff are not an option.

All of my gear are Steady hand, but i'm planning on switching High roller for light weighted MP5.

And unfortunately, coop is not and option. Thanks to lags due my terrible internet connection.

Unless you are very skillful, no cornucopia, gluttony or other very rare stuff seems impossible to finish ghost ship mission. I know someone did it (see guide in steam), but you may need to learn more. At least "ammo magnets" should be equipped as you can obtain drop ammos when killing enemies.

And Don't be too greedy. Try Level 49 first. Once you can finish it at Lv 49, then try Lv 50 since Lv 49, Norman appears once only.

Tips:

1. Set LVL to 49. That way you only have to fight the first Norman. No extra loot but if ammo is an issue, finishing one Norman should a priority.

2. The early areas of the game have low level enemies. Try a light weight weapon + brass knuckle + ammo magnet combo and melee as much as possible.

3. Use this route to conserve ammo even more, although you do have to do some backtracking.

Start -> Kitchen (key) -> Elevator down (use key) -> Pool area (dive down) -> First area towards lab (key) -> Backtrack to Pool area -> Casino (key + use key) -> Grand hall -> Solarium (key).

At this point, you're in the Grand Hall and have 2 keys. All the previous areas you've been in so far have been low level monsters still. The reason you went for that extra key is so you can bypass the Bridge area, which usually takes a huge chunk of your ammo.

Grand hall -> Cafeteria (use key) -> run through Lower Cabins (use light weight/pulse stuns) -> Elevator to Bridge -> Bridge (just run through, don't fight, use key) -> Elevator to final deck.

Add me if you want, if you're still having trouble and I have some time, I can help you farm Corn3/4 for a few runs.

Oh, I thought you were talking the whole mission (long run)! Yes, do what LANKO said if you have a speed run for GS, try not to fight enemies in Bridge or Promenade Room since their levels are very high. But if you are running the whole mission, I would suggest you go to promenade room as early as possible since you have enough ammos to kill them at the moment. Difficult areas first, then easy areas because you can cut enemies in easy areas and obtain dropping ammos for the final deck fighting.

You need only CORNUCOPIA 3 part for you Highroller and Government, after you get those parts it will be easy for you to solo GS (you will have like infinite ammo). No need any special tactics and costumization, just this one part.

Also, if you want you can kill hunters in observatory with Highroller + ammo magnet part.
This way you will save some ammo there.

Uselles? Its 100% work. Don't be so r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d and talk only about damage when he just want solo GS. You always talk only about best damage as always.

The initial post clearly requests a way to win without having to rely on someone else or Legendary parts, or any combination of those two. If you don't understand enough about how the game works to offer a solution within those constraints then, yes, it's useless. Silya has demonstrated awareness of Cornucopia and other Legendary parts so your "contribution" of "go get those parts" is just ignorant.

Best option and faster one for him is that he should go TB in abyss 18/19 and get Coru 3, it will be easier and fater way for him than farm BP for increases firepower in his weapons.

And about machineguns - hunters are weak agains machineguns, that's why when he equip ammo magnet in it, he will kill them fast enough and if he is lucky he will get around 200 ammo from ammo magnet.
I ended killing hunters in obserwatory with magnum and started with machinegun when i discovered that.

Anyway i don't see him to be able solo GS without Cornu part. If he want do that he needs high firepower, something you already wrote about (and yes, you have right here). But this is expensive and take much more time (farming BP) than obtaining Cornu part.

I suggested Solarium over the Hunter Observatory for the extra key mainly because:

1. Solarium spawns are more "controllable"---you can trigger the backroom part, then dive back into the water and go ontop of the diving board and snipe safely from there. Not to mention you don't need to kill everything to get the key drop, just make sure you go into that little valve/pump room off to the side and kill what's in there.

2. Yes, the Hunters are weak against machinegun, but with the purple dragnazzo, the 2 invis Hunters that spawn right by the elevator door, and the mini Hunters, an undergeared player might end up wasting more ammo in panic. Not to mention you do have to kill everything for the key drop.
Silya Jul 28, 2016 @ 7:38pm
Yeah, i know the route for conserving ammo, personally prefer Solarium because of absence of champion dragnazzo. I'm also aware about hunters being weak to machineguns. Ammo is not an issue until i reach the deck.

I'm trying not to count on legendary parts cuz it's easier to beat GS than earn TB on abyss solo.

So, i which shotgun is better? I got Sledgehammer lv43, with 1900x6 dmg, but it slow AF.

What levels are the weapons that you're trying to do GS with?
Silya Jul 29, 2016 @ 4:59am
50 parker's government, 43 Sledgehammer (previously was 48 Highroller), 48 Prowler (previously was 48 Muramasa).

Have you finished GS run before? Otherwise where did you get these Level 48 weapons? From online events?

I bought some weapon cases from residentevil.net

Don't believe these folks who say that you can't beat GS without rare parts. It's not that hard, just need some practice. Ditch the MG, it's a waste imo, get a good handgun with a light weight tag.

This is how I beat GS w/o any rare parts (Gluttony, Auto Loader, Cornucopia), and I beat Ghost Norman with only Gluttony for my handgun.

PC356 "Light Weight" (for dealing with most enemies/getting herbs and ammo)
Essential parts:
Ammo magnet
Fertilizer
Damage
Daze/Bind

Windham "Steady Hand" (for Norman only)
Essential parts:
Full burst
Narrow 2
GRF 3
Damage

Magnum/Sniper (for tougher enemies)
Essential parts:
Damage
GRF 3

I was mainly using Jill. This was my route after kitchen:
UAV room (mostly only knifing)
Casino (knifing only)
Solarium (pistol/knife)
from here you'll have 2 keys which should get you to the foredeck with no problem.
Also, since you have a key when you get to casino, you can skip it, go to solarium, then come back to replenish your ammo/herbs. This way you can get to the deck fully loaded.

Wave 1 (Hunters/Sharks): Pistol/shock, snipe or shotgun the shield dude.
Wave 2 (bunch of oozes): Pistol here as well
Wave 3: (2 chainsaw guys) you can pistol here as well, it takes some time but as long as you're keeping your distance it shouldn't be too bad.
Wave 4 (3 charger dudes): Get them all together and nade spam them.
Wave 5 (Tricorns and Globsters): Pistol/shock nades
Wave 6 (Hunters and Wolves): Pistol/Sniper with BOW decoys
Wave 7 (Rachels): use your remaining pulse nades and knife/punch Rachels. Make sure you're always at full health cuz the purple one can 1-hit-kill you if you're at 80-90%.
Wave 8 (Norman): Use your sniper, when he falls down, use full burst Windham on his back.
Wave 9 (Ghost Norman): Dodge-dodge-dodge!!! And when you're at his back, full burst him. When he enters his rage mode, just hide behind the container if you're low on herbs and wait till he calms down. In rage mode shotgun won't do much damage so don't waste ammo. Also when fighting both Normans always be at 100% HP.

Hope it helps dude and good luck! First time I beat Ghost Norman I got really excited! He's hard, but when you learn his attack pattern he's a cake walk actually (as long as you have ammo). :steamhappy:
