ERR09 for Resident Evil Revelations. (Possible fix)
I been looking for a fix for this game for ever, and I never found any material or any fixes for this issue. I noticed a theme with very little I did manage to find, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Revelations 1 and 2? I noticed a theme with Nvidia.

Another thing I have noticed is that there was no Config file made in the my C drive, so I couldn't alter my games settings.

I learned that the game is not broken, it runs. But the settings it's set to won't allow the game to display itself. Which is REALLY backwards logic but bare with me.

So I finally began pulling straws and shots in the dark.and I finally figured it out!

The solution that worked for me, may not work for everyone so bare that in mind, so here is what I did!

I opened Nvidia Geforce up and managed to edit the games settings from there, I changed fullscreen off and I changed the resolution to an in between line. 1600 x 900 resolution. I applied the settings and wouldn't you know. The game just booted up flawlessly.

This is for Nvidia users but maybe this latter solution can help Radeon or whatever with this problem, it's similar just not with the Geforce software, open up launch options (Right click, properties, "Set Launch Options") And enter this in.

"-windowed -w 1600 -h 900"

It's the same thing basically, so if you are using Radeon and having this issue? This may work but I don't know deep down. It's the same premises.

Anyway I hoped this helped you out and can enjoy one of the best Resident Evil games in the series!

Search %appdata% in windows explorer, go to Appdata>Local>Capcom. The games config is in there. From what I've seen, ERR09 is related to resolution. Mainly when you try to use custom resolutions not supported by the game.

Look for the line Resolution= under the [DISPLAY] section. Here are supported resolutions for the game. Change it to one of these, set the FullScreen to ON and let me know if that stops the error.

Use the same aspect ratio as your monitor;

[4:3]
640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x960

[16:9]
1152x648
1280x720
1360x768
1600x900
1920x1080

[16:10]
1280x800
1440x900

Hope that fixes your problem so you don't have to use this workaround. :mylove:

EDIT - Pretty sure 'appdata' is a hidden folder by default. Change the setting in windows explorer so you can see hidden folders. Screenshot of the option here; http://prntscr.com/luhssy :)
