gold medals worth it?

title is fact. seems like i found the 1st level that me getting gold is basically impossilble. pv=nrt... i can get it in 3 cycles but gold requires 2.. for an example. this seems to be a game that is much more fun if you dont worry about all gold! at least to me... yes i enjoy the game minus the gold medal hunting. some parts are pretty awesome. others.. not as much.

also another example i just found is that. the level green flow. seems to be coded to have silver be the max possible. as i cat get gold on that one no matter how hard i try

update. well im not trying to figure out how to get gold on the.. acid.. level.. go fast. lose particles. it seems i must somehow not lose one particle.. but how... thanks to inertia causing lost particles.. shame... looks like another. silver only level... but will i get it eventually idk.. im guessing others have had to practice the level for a hours on end before a gold luck hits.
