Building Blueprints and Building Deconstruction
It appears that blueprints like foundational flooring cannot be removed once placed. It also appears that some buildings cannot be deconstructed once built, this goes for pretty much all of the foundational flooring.

Is this accurate or is this just my experience?

You need a hammer in hands and then you have option to remove building. Same is for crates and other stuff.

However, be careful, you don't get any material back.

Another drawback is that you need to place foundation and top floors first. Otherwise, if you place wall on foundation first and want to build second floor you will not be able to do it.

Ah okay thank you. So, for instance, I placed a staircase first before placing a foundation and the problem I now have is

1) I cannot remove the staircase
2) I cannot build anything adjacent to the staircase.

I'm assuming that this a similar behavior to what you are describing?

It should be possible to remove staircase with hammer in hand, although you might need to aim on different part of staircase. I haven't tried yet, but I noticed that while I was building second floor that I needed to aim on upper part of floor to be able to build it.

Might be similar to your issuem I have yet to grind for some items to build my staircase.
I will let you know my experience. As for second issue, yep, that seems very similar, I could not build anything adjecent to wall.

Also, I noticed that is difficult to build second floor from bellow. It is hard to aim on exact place where you want to build something. So, be prepared, build something you can climb up on for easier build.

FYI one meteor near your base will shred your walls.... Invest in the underground bunker. Maybe the dev will give us some protection in the future to make living above ground more viable.

I already have large underground bunker for most important stash and equipment.
I want to build some kind of garage to protect vehicles. In hope that only walls and roof get destroyed.

ca marche pas.

On est sur un jeu de build ou on peut pas casser le build qu on a fait....c'est surprenant

I'm really disappointed with how they've designed this game. You can't move your base or even destroy your platform—only walls. On top of that, you can't repair fences, only remove them. The meteor mechanics are frustrating; you find a seemingly safe spot, only for it to change unexpectedly and wipe everything out. Your walls get obliterated instantly, and vehicles are just as vulnerable unless you have insurance. But even then, finding the NPC that sells it at the scrapyards is nearly impossible. These little oversights make the game feel unfair, especially considering how expensive it is to rebuild everything. They should at least allow repairs before things are completely destroyed.

I can´t deconstruct any fondation or floor. All i can deconstruct are chests.

It seems that some new bug is introduced recently. For walls it still work properly, as you can see on picture. You put hammer in hand, aim to wall and you got option to remove it.
However, it no longer works for fondation. It seems that collision box for foundation is no longer recognized properly to give option for remove it.

Yeah, I wish the devs would make it that you can or deconstruct it but at least get SOME materials back OR be able to move it at least.

I would not care about materials, I built a foundation by mistake in the wrong spot and height, and so I basically grieved myself.
PLEASE give us a way to remove buildings we placed ourselves!!!
