I haven't done a new run since yet, is the well displayed with a pointer on your screen like the other objectives? Or do you have to stumble across it?
Yes thats correct
Plated Boots and Runner Shoes( those i use nearly every time)
Chain Mail and Plate Armor
Longfinger Gloves and Quickhand Gloves (probaly one of the best gloves currently)
Helmet and Hood
Iron Ring and Wooden Ring (both probably two of the best rings)
it is nearby spawn and marked with a symbol and arrow.
when you look at an item, it will have a symbol in the corner.
green chest means you own the item.
gold, open chest means you retrieved it from the well but have not bought it from the shop yet
a white star means you have not retrieved it from the well.
you can only ever put the new, star items into the well so dont worry about accidentally wasting it. the item you put in is basically gone, so you cant use it that run but can now buy it from the shop for gold. and only one item per run.
typically i always throw the first star item i get into the well, even if its useful, cause itll be more useful to permanently unlock it and use it in every run than use it once and potentially die without sticking it in the well.
