Like this game... confused as to what the Purple Stones mean?

I picked one up at a skull tower thingy in the first map but I haven't seen this in the other 2. I have defeated all the lords, finding it impossible to do some of these challenges for stages, like level 100 : /

Both stones are on the 1st map. Tale two and You will kill stage lord much more easier, because he will have only half of his HP during his second form.

So map 2 and 3 do not have any hidden items?

both other bosses are a joke.
sofar no hidden bonus items to make the bosses easier in other stages.
but if you swap to beta branch. there is new hidden stuff to discover in maps after unlocking a new npc.

or you wait for official update

there are blood stains that lead to another one. on the way you will come by a shrine with a tome that will explain what the stones are

I wouldn't say Lords 2 and 3 are "a joke" but you can dodge them pretty much forever to win. You still need TO dodge them and/or outheal mistakes though.
