Is there any way to delete the spiders in the water cave?

No matter what I do I can't even get my pick axe out before these things kill me. I know it's supposed to be fast timing and stuff but I've tried over 30 times and only busted the rock maybe once. This is honestly ruining the game for me and I'd like to figure out how to delete these specific spiders from the files. For example I go into the maps and find NODES files for the spider caves but will deleting those spiders break something?

Update: After around 40 tries I've gotten close to the pillar. Close. Not close enough to hit it. This is a legit reason to quit playing this tbh. I've tried deleting that NODE file and nothing happens. Feel free to laugh at my raging.

Also is there any way to hotkey the pickaxe? I can't figure it out.

I've just made through this part... I used the rocks to block the paths and ran away... and when I couldn't run, I just timed some dynimites into them...
