What is on everyone's gameplay wishlist?
Things that you want to see improved in the gameplay specifically, so not new features. Just curious what people want more of from it.

As a chump who just plays with a close friend (we are both learning the game and having a ton of fun sparring), it does feel like the shield comes back so fast. Shield break pressure doesn't seem to be that great unless you make a crazy hard read with elephant guys buffed strong attacks. Especially when parrying isn't that hard to do and gives huge reward. I've only played alot of ultimate, brawl, and small amounts of melee/rivals1.

I only play the rock beetle guy and typically only get shield breaks from objectively bad plays, usually consisting of multiple strong attack hard reads or a fully charged tech chase callout.

Color editor. The default palettes that aren't the characters' main colors are kinda lousy.

Back in my day all we had was a parry and we enjoyed it! Nah that's a good point. Shields change the pace in a way I don't think I like. When all you have is a parry you really need to know your spacing and timing if you want to land it. Shields, as they are now, can be thrown out pretty safely in a lot of situations. A good player is going to know when you'll do it and grab accordingly, but you know, it's safer to just throw out than a parry which has a big penalty for bad timing.

I wonder how they're going to implement it now that they have palettes and skins for sale. They'll have to restrict your options somehow so you can't just make one of the pay palettes.

Anything that allowed for free customisation like in the first game won't be in this one, they made it clear personalisation is only for those who will fork over the cash for it.

this is verifiably false lol

in the last roadmap they confirmed custom colors returning eventually- the tech is already there for it the only thing they're trying to figure out is UI stuff

Yeah that 'eventually' part is exactly what I mean, it's on the bottom of the priority and I guarantee there's gonna be 'complications' that delay it significantly because the longer that feature stays out the longer people are solely dependent on the MTX store to customise their character. If the UI stuff was the only thing then there's no reason it couldn't be done at any point right now, they already did a rework of the game's UI and they've barely added anything in content-wise, read the writing on the wall lmao.
