Rivals of Aether II

When do we add enough lag to Loxodont's recovery ?
This ♥♥♥♥ has to be one of the most spammable and less punishable moves of the entire game.

Lox doesn’t need another nerf
Parry it and hit him acka foo
For actual advice: You can shield or crouchcancel the rising hit and punish him as he's about to start descending (the rising hit doesn't have any knockback scaling so you can crouchcancel it at literally any percentage). It's a tight timing but it can often be enough to make him be unable to recover.

If you have a move that can hit the ledge like a downsmash or downtilt, it's smart to try to hit him trying to grab the ledge if he's recovering from far below since he's vulnerable at the apex of the up special. You can also just ledgehog and make him unable to grab the ledge. Time a getup roll just as he's about to hit you with the upspecial and you'll iframe and he'll just die.

If he's spamming upspecial just at the ledge, parry it. Block the first hit, parry the falling hit

If he has a magma charge it can often be too tricky to edgeguard so try to maintain stage control and punish his getup option instead, but if he's out of magma you have options to edgeguard because if you don't he'll live until like 200%

one could argue that almost all recoveries have way to little end lag.

Thx for the tips. The timing to hit him while he using his upSpecial is way too narrow to be punishable for such a strong a move (large hitbox , fast, very hard to contest).
