Today had 2,785 players which is pretty healthy for a fighting game.
It has been said numerous times before that this patch wasn't intended to 'balance' the game, because in a vacuum the Lox nerf doesn't make sense yes, but literally everyone got nerfed way worse. The patch purpose was to tune down obnoxious strategies. The more meta-oriented patches will come once meta is established because people are quick to jump to conclusion on who is good and who is bad barely a month into a games timespan
"Events I watch where Dan is on commentary, he is constantly joking with everyone else how bad Lox is, then they nerf him. Doesn't feel like they're taking this too seriously,"
i can sympathize with that take. It really feels like they have no idea what live service and full release actually mean. At coinbox his last comment before leaving the stream was that people should not worry about a 1 or 2 chars since the meta is constantly changing and new chars will also shake it up. honestly, that sounds like he thinks he is developing a moba with 60+ chars where you are meant to know how to play several of them and where counter picks are a thing. but not like a fighting game with 10 chars, where most people only main 1 char and breaking 2 of them means alienating 20% of your player base and where hard counter picks should not be a thing.
because its a multiplayers game? lol
3k peak every day, this game has more than enough people. You only need 500 daily for a competitive scene to be alive, have you ever heard of Melee?
Some people dont play 24/7 or log in every day or every week. Its called living your life.
I'm well aware of how steam charts work
Mate I'm 38 on Tuesday. Zoomer? lol
