Missing a shorthop option

The quick tap jumps never worked for me consistently in previous smash games so when I learned that in smash ultimate you could shorthop consistently by pressing X and A together I was a happy camper and have used it ever since. Very sad to see it doesn't work in this
Please consider adding this.

there's a dedicated shorthop bind in the controls menu. it's unbound by default but manually bindable

I saw this but that weirdly doesn't solve my problem. I need to be able to roll my thumb from A(+X) to B. If i bind A to either full or shorthop that means X would become the other and I can't properly roll my thumb from X to B since they are vertically spaced. I'm sure it's possible to get used to that but it seems like a pretty small thing to just allow the 2 button press shorthop in this like in ultimate.
