Dont get me wrong I´m also bad and having fun but loosing and getting destroyed by every entcounter the game can give you again and again and again are a bit different.
I know people that are very cool headed and up for fun but at a certain point everyone cracks. I know I need to take a break from the game after ~ 10 matches of being a sandbag other people may simply abadon the game.
Are you able to buy the Halloween costumes with in game currency, even if it's quite pricey? That was what was promised in one of the trailers the lead creator talked about. I assume that applies to EVERY cosmetic in game, right?
All characters and game modes being free is way worth it.
If they keep updating it for 5 years like they did RoA1, and if they add 4 characters each year, that'll grow the roster to 30. The game will keep improving FOR FREE.
So yeah, cosmetics being paid for is the least they can do to earn a bit of money to keep adding to the game. It has a ton of potential.
With the current level up and reward system you get around $25 worth of aether bucks for doing literally everything, and the more prominent currency, coins, has a shop rotation preventing you from getting what you want when you want. They were obviously going for a "skip the grind" type of market, but I think that could have better been achieved if they only had 1 currency and no shop rotation. It would lose them barely nothing and it would be better for their free to play consumers.
Thanks for the elaborated response, I made an edit to my original question to further clarify my question, so thank you for essentially responding twice.
I'd rather spend on this and support it than garbage like Speedstorm and technical jank like MVS (even though I have fun with that one).
We all know the game doesn't take off and survive.
Guy had to produce SOMETHING after this Kickstarter, I'm assuming this is all you'll see
