Will Ori be in this game?

Thankfully not. SK and Ori are gone because of licensing. Everyone else will return (and new characters from Aether universe will be added too).

Ori was the primary reason I bought the first game, I find it hard to believe the licensing was that expensive. Makes me sad was such a unique and fun playstyle

Is this based on any real numbers? Or are you just guessing?
You're free to ask the Moon Studios how much it would cost to license their popular mascot for your multiple indie game over several years and see how that affects your budget.

well its not that they couldn't return, its just that crossover characters arent a priority right now. Aether team just wants to focus on developing the world and lore and making the game successful before they start reaching out for crossovers.

Devs stated in an interview that they are not opposed to bringing them back, not like it's impossible to get a new license or whatever.
