Chances are this is a case of a bad matchup, but if you don’t know that and are getting bodied by them, it’s a fair assumption that the character is busted or overly annoying. At the end of the day they balanced this game very well and there is counter play for every character, so you just have to find what you have to do.
As an example I play lox, and when I see bad matchups like maypul show up, I adjust my playstyle accordingly, ditch the overly aggressive “get the clip” mind set, find where my parry button is, and don’t give them opportunities to rush me down.
I do get what you mean. I honestly do think possibly Orcane is possibly a bit of a bad matchup for Kragg. (I main Kragg, Lox is my side, and I'm TRYING to learn/get better with Clairen)
I need to try and get less irritated when fighting them. I do get a tad competitive despite knowing that yea I'll never be the absolute best. I simply enjoy winning which most people do.
Do most, if not all moves stop that little spurt he does that creates the puddle? I relatively have always treated that like a projectile and always get in mind "don't touch that. It'll hurt".
Shielding it is one of the worse things you can do since that just drops it right on your shield and you get shieldlocked by bubbles.
Also a small quirk is that if you parry one of his bubbles (not waterdrop), Orcane himself will get stunned unlike other projectiles which does not stun when parried. This can be good if you find yourself on a platform and theres a puddle below you.
And even if you're in the bubble blender as a big body the followups Orcane gets arent guaranteed unless they read it, so make sure to try to be unpredictable with SDI even when you're stuck. I play against an Orcane a lot as Lox and he only gets combos from his bubbles if he's either really close or he reads where I'm going
