zetter special pummel headbutt kills at around 70 unless you are dead center of a large stage, a half charged clairen fsmash kills around that range too, which isnt too hard to hit cause you are constantly in tipper stun
who said fully charged?
You HAVE to respect his giant hitboxes because you'll lose every time trying to beat out his moves.
One thing, I will say; and some people won't like it, but Loxodont is kind of braindead. He's very, very easy to just pick up and press buttons. That's not to say that he doesn't have a high skill-ceiling, because he does, but he is VERY easy. He's like Kragg and Clarien in that way, being noob killers.
Your feelings are valid in your frustration of feeling like you need to "do more that they do" to get the same result, but trust that when you eventually win neutral, you win hard. Lox has an abysmal disadvantage state by the looks of things, and the most exploitable recovery in the game. Prioritize getting him off stage, and holding center stage hostage as you maintain advantage, limiting Lox's options and forcing him to over-commit to take stage control.
- parry his recovery out of block. when he aims above the ledge you can easily block the first hit and then press B while blocking to parry out of block for the second hit when he comes down. this can be done on reaction and with virtually no risk since you block the first hit. As fleet just do an instant down strong after the parry since he just lost ledge invulnerability because of your parry and you will kill him at 80%. <
- since you said you play fleet you are actually in advantage for the match up. loxodont is big AND floaty, so he is the perfect target when above you. you can easily juggle him with up strongs for early K.O.s . Also use your arrows to gimp him off stage. he has very predictable recovery routes. when he is far to the side he NEEDS to use side special at some point. catch them with a fstrong or down air depending if the are recovering mid or low.
- when lox is spamming lava balls approach with a long lasting multi hit, like fleets fair and nair or clairens nair. if you hit the lava ball, it becomes your projectile.
-Loxodont has the slowest startup of any character, coming out at frame 8 for his jab and neutral air. So if you can, try to get behind him with your aireals.
I also hate Fleet and Clairen more than any other character(also zetterburn). Fleet being a zoner with a damn bow, has huge hitboxes and plenty multihit attacks, somehow has good killpower too. She's also one of the characters that barely has to care about ASDI.
And Clairen walling me out with that huge ass back air, and killing me at 80% with backthrow f smash because i didn't DI fully away from her in 0.1 seconds during the backthrow.
I play a very aggressive fleet and funny enough people always start to camp and trying to zone me after they lost the first stock.
Also you can attack his meteorball to send it back, I dont see many people do that and I dread the day they start doing that
