Rocksmith® 2014 Edition - Remastered

Problems with USB headsets...
So I can actually play rocksmith 2014 .. I can actually play the game on a laptop as well. I can even play rocksmith original on a laptop with a g35 usb headset. However, I cannot play rocksmith 2014 with my usb g35 logitech headset. What gives? Doesn't anyone else suffer from neighbors that want to go to bed at 2:am and don't want to listen to my attempts at shredding goin through my PC speakers? Anyone have any suggestions, tips, tweaks??

plug a stereo headset to your onboard sound

Do they make usb to stereo 1/8 adapters? Heads out to google....
My Logitech USB headset didn't even work with the original RS (it's a cheap one). Don't remember the details, but basically the headset sound card didn't support the required audio format (resolution + sampling rate).
So any USB>analog adapter would mean an additional "sound card" for the system, and you will have to make sure (somehow) it's supported by the game. Seeing how many sound issues people experiencing with the new version regarding non on-board sound cards, I can't even imagine what the real requirements are.
Also it might increase your overall latency.

TS Here also uses G35 and managed to get it workin:

I could add - make sure your headset and RS cable are connected to different USB hubs, so each receives a required amount of current.

I am using a gamecom usb headset and no problems here. Perhaps its a logitech thing since that seems to be the common theme
Doesn't work with my Seinnheiser USB headset either. To get it going I had to purely use my sound card with some regular speakers. I hope at some point they issue a fix so I don't annoy everyone while I try to learn.
If you're worried about annoying the people around you, buy a decent pair of 1/8" closed back headphones. You can pick up some Audio Technica ATHM50's for relatively cheap. I use them for monitors when I'm recording at home and they sound just fine playing Rocksmith. No point using anything better for Rocksmith. Your PC soundcard is gonna be what lets the quality down before those headphones ever will.
Generally I have found turning off audio exclusivity seems to fix a lot of these issues, its on by default in 2014, it takes total control of your PC sound thus stops a lot of stuff working like my Logitech headphones, turn it off and now my headphones work.
Headphones. Yes, but therefore we need ASIO Support, for no more audio lags, noise and low lantency. What could be cool ASIO to enable Headphones and Some Speaker at same time on 2 Audio Devices (Some Headphones have USB).

Thanks for the advise but isn't that kind of ridiculous?? I've got my top of the line $400 USB seinnheisers I use for most games, then here comes RS, so to play this game first disable my headphones, then switch default audiot to sound card, switch sound from speakers to the mediocre analog headphones you suggest, run game. Tune the damn guitar for 30 minutes as it makes me do every time. When I'm done playing spend some time putting everything back. How about another solution- UBISOFT just fix this. I bought the game and the guitar - the ONUS IS ON YOU.
Id be fine if it just dumbed down the audio frequency just so I had an option. But when I plug them in, I get NO sound whatsoever.. Rocksmith plays in the background.. Unplug usb headset, and I have sound.. and its not pretty when I play it on my laptop lol
I'm curious with you guys having trouble. Are you setting your sound devices to stereo 16 bit 48000 KHz (DVD quality). I don't think they like any kind of surround sound processing turned on. Some people had to turn off some sort of MP4 driver in their audio. I saw it in another thread. So it could be some sort of driver incompatability issue if you are one of the ones with that MP4 driver issue. Make sure you are reading all threads, the answer to your problems might already be out there.

In my case, I tried exclusive mode on and off, every sound device frequency that was shown in the driver, surround on and off, all the modes stereo through 7.1 - 100% of my games work on my headset but RS 2014. I have it working fine with my regular sound card through my regular speakers but this is ridiculous.

this dose not fix this problem, I have had this with other game where you cant use the Logitech G35 USB headset its a bag of bollox if you ask me G35 are one of the best gaming headsets around and you get pricks of devs that feck it up for us guy that use the and other USB head set users
as some others have said all you can do is get a set of closed back Ana log head phones I all ready had a set for me amp
im sure a lot of the game devs do ♥♥♥♥ like this just to piss off the peripheral development people !!! on my desk I have 2 head sets and 7.7 speakers looks a bit cluttered at the mo
ive tried setting the audio to 16 bit 44 khz , 16 bit 48 khz, 24 bit 44khz, 24 bit 48khz 24 bit 96 khz. , with or without surround processing, 2 channels or 8 channels, no difference ... still get garbled sound on my steelseries siberia soundcard. Oddly enough it works if i use my other usb soundcard ( line 6 toneport ux 2 (1st version), but id like to not have to switch between headsets/ soundcards just for 1 game. Also tried setting the sound from the rocksmith cable to 16 bit 44khz and 16 bit 48khz . I tried the fix with the disabling the ultralowlatency32 (setting it to 0 in the ini.file), but that didnt really work, always some bug, latency too high and / or cabinet simulators not working in Rocksmith 2014.
