That's just my experience with a clean tone from nowhere because my cable is fairly old and may be damaged in some way, but I can't see anything wrong with it other than the jack being curved slightly.
Hope you discover the issue :)
Also, look at any other apps that are running in the startup. might have a resource issue where another app has a memory leak.
If the tone is locked, just play an open string and look to see if there's a sound wave animation from the cabinets or on the side.
How to prevent it. Be patient.
It is specifically an issue to do with Rocksmith and not the user. I have a perfectly capable PC, but for some dumbass reason. The developers thought fancy transitions should be prioristised over performance. And this bug has been around since launch.
So, the trick is what changed that removing those and the crack isn't fixing?
This solved it on two PC's that I had tested RS on that had this problem
It did fail on a laptop I tried. Please let me know your outcome
1.Open System by clicking the Start button >right-clicking Computer, and then clicking
Properties.
2. In the left pane, click Advanced system settings Administrator permission may be required.
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4.Click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, click Change.
Clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box.
Under Drive[Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
Click Custom size, type a new size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB)
box, click Set, and then click OK.
NOTE: I set the Initial size the same as the Max size it shows you the max you can go for your
system .You have to restart your PC
Caldaar, Ubisoft support also told me to reinstall Direct X and Visual C. Sadly the bug still is happening though.
MTZIGG, thanks for the suggestion, I tried that and the bug is still happening.
I appreciate all of the suggestions. I might try reinstalling windows. Fingers crossed.
