Pretty sure the steam "drm" does little to no effect on the game's overall fps, let alone has a "frame analysis".

unfortuantely no. I tried it. There really isnt any documentation on it as far as i know. Only no DRM games like Ultrakill or SH2R work.
Didnt try removing DRM from other games though

which tool are you using? nsight has official documentation on hooking into steam games, and i heard that gpa works the same way, and renderdoc has an option to hook into the child process

Typically speaking when you need this sort of compatibility you just create a text document in the game folder called steam_appid.txt with the Steam AppID included in it. That sort of set up allows the game to be launched "outside of Steam" (as long as Steam is running), meaning the game can be launched through any other third-party tool and still be able to communicate with the Steam client.

There's also various environment variables that can be used to achieve the same thing (and is among other things what the Steam client actually sets when it launches a game), but that's more cumbersome for an end user/third-party developer to use.
