Why did they remove the dismemberment from the game?
I played the PS4 version and there was dismemberment in combat, but I've been playing for 7 hours and I haven't seen that, why did they censor that in the PC version? Or was there an error or bug?

I've played this game like 3 times on PS5, Director and non Director's Cut, I've NEVER seen ONE enemy lose a limb.

You're telling yourselves stories, here. You're probably remembering Shadow of Mordor or something.

Apparently you didn't play it.

Dismemberment requires Heavenly Strike, Ghost Stance etc.

Dismemberment only occurs later on in the story, when you unlock a stance. Kind of a spoiler really
It's kind of a spoiler, but one I wanted to know because at least I know it isn't broken now.

It's not the same, I played it on PS4, so I know what I'm talking about. In 7 hours there was NO dismemberment scene. And when I played on PS4 there were several.

I just showed you the game on PS4 in that video lol. In comparison to what I've seen personally on the PC version, it's the same. Fun fact, he also used heavenly strike in the video and it didn't dismember. It happens (sometimes.) but it isn't going to happen in every fight.

But I don't need to watch an IGN video, I have the game on PS4 and played it in the past. That's why I noticed that there is NO dismemberment.

Well, I can give my PSN ID, but it's so pathetic to have to prove something to a random person on the internet that I don't even know where it's from or if it really exists or is just a troll bot. But yes I played. I'm not going to waste time with you. Blocked.

Of course there is dismemberment, look it up on YouTube. If you didn't see it, it's probably because the PS5 version removed this, and the PC version is based on the PS5.

Then how about you fire up your good ol' PS4 and look for yourself on a normal new game. Memory is a unreliable companion

You only get that later when I level up/upgrade, if I recall?

I have been seeing plenty of dismemberment. Arms flying rather regularly. Dont think I have taken off any heads yet though.

Obviously edited. Didn't you know the OP is correct and everyone else is wrong?

I've played it on PS4 as well and the dismemberment is after you get the ghost stance. The Kurosawa 1 hit kill beserker style mode you build up by killing enemies. Basic killing their is no dismemberment, never has been, only in the ghost mode and the beheading of the leaders when you brutalize them.

FINALLY, i managed to dismember arm of an archer with heavenly strike, i was in water stance but i dont believe stance is a factor.

after 18hrs

there you go, its in game but watered down greatly. no point discussing it does work or not , or its there or not.

point is we have to have an option to tune this to our liking. this s a samurai game for crying out loud. all purpose of katana as a weapon is slashing and chopping.
