Once you unlock Quickplay Story (Silver/Gold/Nightmare) there are tons of people playing and the queue times are instant.
I agree and disagree.
Yes playing the story from start to end before doing something else is a very good advice and should be done :)
But I can say as well, I looked nearly all day for a Lobby with other players and I found like 3. I always did que for Quick Play Survival from Bronze and Silver (I even tried Gold if there were some lost souls but with no success). And Quickplay Story the same.
I don't know, I can't really imagine that literally no one is playing it on a weekend.
And have queue times from 5-10 minutes.
It's totally frustrating looking for a Lobby for 10 minutes, getting thrown in solo, getting trashed by the instance (for example in survival. Do that Solo and you cry if you don't have a very good loadout already).
It even feels that the instances are done for the multiplayer so if you go in solo it's very penetrating and even if playersearch is on, no one is joining afterwards.
I would wish that there would be a NPC fill up or so if there is really RARELY no one playing the multiplayer.
But its SO frustrating to barely make progress in a lot of pain and playing solo in a multiplayermode.
Not finding random players isnt because people arent playing, the game is just not allowing people to connect to each other. most often ill leave matchmaking open and never get another player, but if you watch it, it will periodically display "Error 20", but then will go back to looking like its trying to find players.
Another issue is the crossplay. when you throw a ps5 player into the party the matchmaking becomes even more unpredictable and even more frustrating. from what we tested, if a ps5 player joins another player, no other steam players can join. if there are two players of either platform, no forth can join.
this ♥♥♥♥ is beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. I'm tired of buying broken and unfinished games.
The reason why , maybe cause most people play the story first before getting in multiplayer , it might have a spoiler ...
ive attempted to host many matches and nobody joined except one time, when i did the initial clearing of enemies, and then three people joined all at once, and then five minutes into the match all three disconnected
its broken as hell right now
First are legit new players who have 0% progress and aren't downloading savefiles. They're going to be completely all in on the singleplayer, so they won't be touching Legends for a while.
Second are OG Soy4/5 players who have long since cleared NG+, NG++, etc... and are true 100% on Legends. Almost all of this group would have brought saves over or simply downloaded another to avoid starting over. They're not going to be in the low, mid or even upper mid games. This group are the 110-120 KI group. If you're not in that bracket you won't find em... and if you simply download a save to get in that bracket w/o actually knowing how to play, you won't last long either.
So, yeah. Two extremes right now exist and literally zero in-between. You'll have to wait for the former group to start Legends and naturally progress.
