2. There is a variety of casual clothes, like jackets, skirts (for girls), t-shirts, jeans (for boys), etc. If that's what you meant.
3. Yes. Yes.
4. There is a conbini designed after a typical Family Mart, a store for clothes, vending machines, and also food stalls/miscellaneous goods in various locations.
5. The main focus of the game is school life. Dating is just one of optional activities. It will be possible to play while ignoring the dating aspect altogether, if one chooses so.
6. There won't be any form of multiplayer or online functionality. All game features and mechanics were designed with single-player experience in mind, so adding multiplayer on top of it makes little sense. There is just no gameplay that could accommodate interactions between multiple players in any meaningful way.
7. All locations are small, because I'm focusing on detailed and authentic designs vs big open spaces that would be filled with generic empty buildings. The game has a lot of explore in terms of Japanese culture (e.g., 100+ authentic cooking recipes, school tests on all periods of Japanese history - from Kofun and until Meiji restoration, 100 different omikuji based on accurate Buddhist verses, etc.), but in terms of square feet (space), it's small.
My Twitter is linked on the game's page, so you can check it for previews of almost everything discussed here. Every few days I post updates on various game features that I'm currently working on.
Things like doing some homework, drawing kanji or whatever; it creates a sense of immersion that only 3D can offer properly. I'll look forward to seeing Anime City develop.
Either way, game looks like it has much potential!
And we are talking here about a lot of work invested with vague hopes that some day, maybe, there will be enough of modding community to make use of it. Otherwise all that work would be wasted for nothing.
My time is not infinite, so if I'm making feature A, I'm not making feature B, and vice-versa. And right now it is very hard for me to find any logical justification for why it makes sense to invest several months of work to add mod support for custom clothes (0% guarantee that anybody would ever use it), instead of dedicating the same amount of time and making (for instance) a new Okinawa beach map with fishing, water gun battles, and campfires (100% guarantee that 100% of players would use it).
So... I'm not saying this idea is completely off the table, but for the time being, I don't think it would be good & reasonable investment of my development time.
