Remove Denuvo and Uplay.
Does it really matter? I think there are better ways to be able to own the game and play online (Steam Together, P2P, etc). Denuvo sucks in performance, and I can't open the game if I don't create an account on Uplay (And I don't want to create one).

Community, get a patch out as soon as possible to open the game, or at least get ubisoft to do it.

We're happy to pass this on, however there are no current plans to remove Denuvo or Ubisoft Connect as a requirement to launch the game.

If you have any other queries, please do let us know!

Denuovo sucks, ubisoft connect is fine.
Nobody lIkes the DRM but the game itself is fine. all ive seen are people whining about having to install and create account which takes like 5 minutes. but for people on steam deck i can understand it. not for people on computer though. its like downloading the sims 4 and having to make a origin account and hey after all scott pilgrim on steam.

I would say the opposite, Uconnect requires giving YOUR information to a company in order to play their game - they can do whatever they want with that information after you accepted. The other is a background tool that does checks every once in a while and once it's removed from the game as a prereq - that's it.

Edit: I've already beaten this game, I only got it because it's 67% off right now so I got it dirt cheap, all I need to do is wait for achievements/ uconnect to be removed and then I'll play it.

steam achievements are never happening and your dream of having ubisoft connect being removed from the game is a 0.000009 % chance .

No ubisoft connect isn't fine. Its an extra step that isn't needed with extra account that isn't need on an extra launcher that isn't needed and if any one of these steps fail, well you aren't playing the game you payed for.
Its needless crap that some corporation decided to force on us to try and get you on their launcher instead of just using steam.

... except it costing studios money. The more it puts people off, then the more expensive launchers will become, and the more rare they'll be.

I use multiple stores as well, but I think there should be more separation between storefronts and game companies. It's not a game company's business to track how much of their games I play, only which ones I buy.

No, there came a time where *you* stopped caring. I haven't stopped caring, and I haven't for the 25 odd years I've been gaming.

I've seen enough of these trends (e.g. finite activations in DRM) to know that the will of consumers actually does matter. But, it only matters commensurate to how much we're prepared to enforce our will. I can see that you don't care, and that's fine (you do you, as they say), but unless you actively enjoy being tracked by every game company, it isn't great that you're encouraging people to just give in.

I care, because it affects us. And I buy games to play them too. I'm less keen about the ones that play me.
