Not sure what you mean by exactly, but defeated enemies can go sky high, and the playable characters can go into a hyper mode (after defeating a certain number of enemies in a row without getting knocked down.) where you can mash a lot of times and give them a finisher where they too can be knocked sky high.

@NeoStrayCat In the comic and movie (i think i forgot when i watched it) Knives get her highlights punched out of her hair

Oh yeah, I remember that, still have the movie. (Not the comics tho.)

But if anything, IIIRC, the sub-bosses and evil exes do have their own defeat animations, so I guess that's close enough?
