PROTONTRICKS - WHERE DO I GO TO INSTALL THIS?
I have Proton Experimental up, , and I also need to install Protontricks, as ProtonDB says it helps with the game I am trying to get to run.

Anyone know how I can install PROTONTRICKS?

I have multiple versions of Proton installed, aside from Proton Experimental, but, that was auto install, when just switching versions.

Through your package manager, or as a flatpak.

It's a version of winetricks tweaked to be easier to use with Proton.

Also useful to install is ProtonUpQt. It's a graphical interface to make managing and updating versions and forks of Proton (and other compatibility tools) dead simple.

Thank you for the info, and reply!

Oh, so, they are not apart of Steam. No wonder I cant find it.

So, it is additional software, not apart of Steam / Proton, yet, it works with it, so, basically, adding Wine, and Winetricks, just a modified version?

I used to mess with Wine, PlayonLinux, etc. Got viruses, so, I stopped doing that, and stayed with Native Linux games, which has been rock solid, and no drama.

I recently saw so much Steam Deck / Proton stuff saying many games run great, so, I thought to try it.
I only noticed now you often manually install custom Proton GE, Protontricks, etc.
Ill mess with that on a another system. Thank you!
