Getting the Windows version of Half-Life 2 on Linux

Is it possible to download the Windows version of Half-Life 2 on the Linux version of Steam? I'm asking because Hammer.exe isn't in the Linux Half-Life 2, so I can't do level design anymore.

Sure, I could try installing the Windows version of Steam with Wine and get Windows HL2 that way, but I don't really like the idea of having two Steam in my computer. Is there another way around this?

If you find a game in your Library, select its Properties, and tell it to use Proton as a specific compatibility tool you'll get the Windows version rather than the native Linux version.
