Can't uninstall Proton Experimental / Missing shared content / Validating Loop
Proton Experimental tries to validate the files but gets stuck in a loop.
I tried to uninstall it because that usually fixes the problem but when I try to uninstall I get a "missing shared content" error.
Changed all the game options and right now none of my game is using PE.

Also before updating the system (updating the system didn't fix the problem), when trying to use the PE I got an error related to some dll file

hope someone can help me with this problem.

Manually remove the directory and manifest vdf??

Proton, as all games lives under $STEAM_LIBRARY/steamapps/common/, unleeñss you have several library drives, where usually Proton would be installed to the last location used, that should be $HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common, you can determine the manifest VDF via SteamDB, given its appid.

Hope that helps

Deleting the Proton folder from /common/ and the vdf file from /steamapps/ seems to fix the problem. thanks for the suggestion
