Games don't work with geforce 940mx [solved]
Hi friends, I bought a new dell i7 7th generation notebook, with 940mx geforce video card, ubuntu 16.04. For some reason, the all games starts with credits but stops at the time the menu would appear. These games work well before in my old notebook. Can anybody help me?

have you installed latest drivers for your videocard?

Being it an nVidia card, just install the proprietary drivers from the supplied other drivers app in Ubuntu.

Thanks for replying, yes I already updated the video card. It still did not work.

check if your onboard video card is disabled in BIOS. I suppose you can have some Intel chip onboard? disable it if it's enabled.
then load ubuntu and try the easiest way - install nvidia driver from ubuntu repos.
see if it works. if not, google for "ubuntu nvidia-detect" and how to install proprietary Nvidia driver for your video card model.

Well, being a notebook that's not the way. AFAIK, all the steps are here:

I has test this in intel-AMD gpu notebook and worked flawslessly.

Friends, thank you for your help, Actually my video card was disabled, being the default intel card. I managed to solve the problem with this tutorial, again thank you very much.
