Madcatz T.E2 Arcade stick
So since recently SFV work on linux flawlessly I wanted to play with my stick and try it out. Nothing work and I was wondering if someone might have an idea how to make it detect on steam.

My stick is Madcatz T.E2 Arcade Stick ps4/ps3

If the machine does detect it, and since the device is geared towards PS maybe enabling support for these would be enough? (just gessing, as I'm utterly unfamiliar with the device)

Distro: EndeavourOS Linux x86_64
Kernel: 5.6.15-arch1-1

I do not think it is. But interestingly enough the PS4 controller is detected.

and if so can you locate and test it with
sudo evtest
If you have trouble locating the event* device it is attached to, so you can test it, use
ls -l /dev/input/by-id

ive seen around that lots of steering wheels will be detected/have better force feedback response using kernel 5.7; i dont know if other kinds of controllers will; if you cant put this arcade controller to work, try it with kernel 5.7 please.

Okay. Then it's a Steam problem, not a Linux problem? Can you see the device in Steam with generic gamepad/joystick support enabled?

I cannot I've enable all of them and none work

Udev rules, maybe? You could generate a personalized rule for the device to be used by uinput, use the Steam rules as template.

Possibly, if that's determined to be the problem...
The professional approach is to first identify the problem before spaghetti-testing random 'fixes'.
Indeed. Though it is indeed odd that the device is not picked up by Steam, but it could also be a config issue, I confess I am unfamiliar with the distribution, though if any indication is the kernel naming, seems to be Arch based, in which case, the Arch WiKi should suffice for trouble shooting.

Joystick Name: 'Mad Catz FightStick TE2+ PS4'
Joystick GUID: 03000000380700008184000011010000
Joystick Number: 0
Number of Axes: 6
Number of Buttons: 14
Number of Hats: 1
Number of Balls: 0
GameControllerConfig:
missing (see 'gamecontrollerdb.txt' or SDL_GAMECONTROLLERCONFIG)

I was able to test it as well.

*Update*
I was messing around inside Steam controller setting and while being in there I flip the switch for written ps3/ps4. PS4 did not work BUT ps3 did work and Steam recongnise the controller but I had to reassign every button.

I actually tried at first to restep what i did. I simply switch from the ps3/ps4 switch as i was inside the steam controller setting menu. If I did it outside of the menu it didn't detect it.
